In Memory Of
Lucy Pearson.
Awareness. Support. Change.
Fighting for better maternal mental health in Lucy’s memory.
In partnership with Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind, we're fighting for better maternal mental health care. When a mum is in crisis, she doesn’t need a waiting list — she needs help now.

Lucy's Story
Lucy's Legacy was created in honour of Lucy Pearson who sadly lost her life in September 2024 after suffering with postnatal depression, leaving behind her husband and two young children.
Lucy’s family and friends feel the services that should have helped Lucy sadly failed her. After her passing Lucy's Legacy was born, with the aim of raising awareness and funds to support those struggling with maternal mental health issues.
We are taking action against the postcode lottery of perinatal care in our area. One in four women experience mental health challenges during pregnancy or after birth. We must break the silence, challenge stigma, and ensure no mother is left behind. Lucy's Legacy in collaboration with Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind are here to help navigate that change and break the stigma of discussing mental health, so that no other family suffers this tragedy.
You can help by donating, supporting events and sharing your own story so others feel less alone.
Our Mission: Change Starts With Awareness

Provide Support When It’s Needed Most
We’re fundraising to offer free counselling, practical advice, and vital resources to mums who are struggling as well as training for community organisations to better understand maternal mental health. Every donation brings us closer to life-changing help for families in crisis.
